Tuscany it is an unforgettable destination from the warm welcome of the people, its green meadows, its flavors ... everything to fall in love with that romantic place.
My friend and I decided to do this trip because we have always been attracted to the country Italy, although we choose the area of Tuscany because we knew it was exotic and worth exploring. We traveled from Barcelona to LIVORNO by boat for a few hours of travel, although very fun since we take the opportunity to make friends and interact with people, it was certainly very enjoyable.
We had a travel guide “What to see in Tuscany” and some idea of the route that we were going to do, although nothing fully stipulated fate gave us the freedom to improvise every day. It was also very important for us that it was a safe destination since we were two young girls alone and we were really calm and safe at all times, even late at night.
We arrived to Leghorn at sunset, it was august and it was hot, the Mediterranean climate is one of the best since the summer is warm, but not overwhelming like in other areas, at night there is a nice cool breeze. To visit the area the best time of year is from April-May to September-October. Since spring, going through the summer and well into the fall.
That night we toured its streets and canals, we tasted a light dinner with a variety of cheeses accompanied by fig jam and a good white wine that is typical of there. The place where we had dinner was idyllic in the light of the full moon, sitting by a canal, a marvel.
The next day, we headed to PISA, we took the train from Livorno, where we stay. That day we went from there to see the city of LUCCA, always traveling by bus and train. You can also do routes by car, although it is more comfortable to do it by car and it gives you freedom, It can also be done by public transport as it is very fluid and provides experiences of interaction with the place, it is also cheaper.
what can i say about Lucca... a city with a unique charm, it is difficult to describe the combination of experiences, images and flavors that can be experienced in one visit, the Amphitheater square with its carousel and the locals strolling, drink a macchiato coffee sitting on a terrace overlooking the green park and the ancient walls that surround the city.
Returning to Pisa, we went to meet the tower of Pisa at night, It was dusk when we arrived at the venue. The environment of the tower is wonderful, the Plaza del Duomo with its green gardens around where you can take photos, In the surrounding streets you can have lunch or dinner with views of the tower by candlelight with the typical red and white checkered tablecloth, This is how we did it, savoring the traditional pasta and risotto dishes accompanied by a good rosé wine.
The gastronomy there is sublime, because it is important to note that you don't have to go to expensive restaurants to eat well you just have to have a good eye and realize which is the traditional, those typical relatives that pass from generation to generation, attended by its owners. From the antipastis, main dishes to desserts and coffees in addition to ice creams just thinking about it makes my mouth water!!
The next day we went to SIENA, of the favorite cities for me on this trip, Piazza di Campo was the most curious site. Because people sit there to chat, some with instruments play music, others to eat pizza with their hands you can see several groups of young people interacting and the square can be full of people all in harmony.
The feeling that this city transmitted to me is incredible, what each place can provide you at the level of emotions, the energy and the environment that is breathed there is inexplicable. Could it be because it is a city where students come from all over the world to fulfill their dreams and you can feel the wishes of every young person being there??!...
last we visited FLORENCE, a city so complete in art and landscapes, Whether you are a few days to delve into its museums, churches and monuments like you go on a day trip to get an in-flight view of what it is. It can be appreciated in all ways, although I recommend about three days minimum to compensate.
Our trip ended there leaving us those special memories and details to tell about this destination as wonderful as it is exclusive, there were many places to visit for an upcoming trip like: the city of Saint Gimignano and see a vineyard in the area among other attractions.
It is a destination that must be lived with all the senses, pleasure to taste its wines and products such as its cheeses and typical culinary recipes, vision to keep in our retina the green of its hills and the wonderful buildings, Touch to touch and explore all kinds of souvenirs that can be bought in each city. Ear to hear its sounds, of the street and its people. Finally smell to enrich ourselves with the aroma of coffee in the morning.
Tuscany is not just a destination to visit, it is an experience in its maximum splendor.
